Saori Scarf
I wanted to spend some time this weekend weaving and so finally I did. I have some beautiful yarns that I have received from Saori no Mori in Japan. The yarns are much finer than ones that I would typically buy and so I love combining them in different ways.
I made this scarf on a warp that was left from another pre-Christmas project. Just enough to make a scarf and a mobius scarf too.
And a close up…
I used my favourite clasped weft in some of the areas, others was just combining colours and textures. When I was done and took it off the loom I was surprised to see the dominance of the blues and browns as the warp was blues, greens and purples – with the small stripes of cream. I guess that must be my current ‘theme’ at the moment (see ‘Inspired by a shirt‘ post).
Happy Weaving,
Terri

That is just exquisite, Terri!
I absolutely love the colors and the textures, too.
I just want to bury my face in it!

Thank you Noreen. It’s fun to just weave with no particular plan in mind – just surrounded by inspirational colours and then to see what comes off the loom at the end!
Happy Weaving,
