Minna’s Hat
When I was in Edmonton, I did a Saori workshop one afternoon for a few people – it was a lot of fun! One of the people in the class wrote to me later in the week and decided to get one of the Saori looms for herself and her daughter to do some weaving.
Well, today she sent me pictures of her first project – and it is gorgeous…..thought you’d like to see it.
Here’s the hat….
Here’s what it looks like on….
And a close-up of the detail…
She says “I just picked up some leftover yarns and started to weave…”
I love the colours and the design of the fabric – and the hat design too – wonderful and inspiring! Congratulations Minna!!
Happy Weaving,

I love it! I would not have thought of a woven hat, but that is so funky.
Isn’t it great?? I was very impressed!
I wouldn’t have thought of making a hat like this either – I guess that this fits with the part of the Saori philosophy of “Let’s learn from each other in the group”!
Happy Weaving,
Terri
