Another Virtual SAORI Kai

It was suggested to me that it might be time for another Virtual SAORI Kai (Normally this would be an in-person gathering – to share ideas, show each other what we’ve been working on, ask questions, get inspired and just get to know each other better). The last virtual one was so much fun and I really appreciated all the comments back and forth – so thought I’d host another virtual one (until my health improves enough to have an in-person Kai again).

This is open to anyone for participation with any type of SAORI-style weaving. Just email me a couple of photos and what you’d like to say about your weaving, your process, your thoughts along the way. This can be a finished piece, a weaving in progress – at any stage – even just choosing some colours to get started – no rules and no mistakes. Questions are great too.

I will wrap the Kai up on the eve of Winter Solstice, so you have just over 3 weeks to send me something. I will post as things come in and keep linking the posts together. Comments are welcomed and encouraged! I will also post on Facebook, so you can see things there (even if you don’t have a Facebook account), and comment there as well (if you are signed-up with FB).

Happy Weaving,

I’m doing a “chocolate” weaving right now that was actually kind of irritating at first (problems getting the warp on) but now I’m loving it. I’ll try to take some pictures and send something in. I love doing these.

I love your virtual Saori Kai, Terri! It’s so much fun to have a virtual meet up with other Saori weavers from all over the planet 🙂
Thank you so much for hosting it and may you soon be well enough for an in person Saori Kai!
