It may seem like an unlikely post for my blog lately – but it comes under the “Sustainability” part. Also my husband, Alan, is participating in this event.
Saturday, January 16 at ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island, BC from 7-9pm
Featuring: James Hoggan, to discuss his highly acclaimed book Climate Cover-Up
Alan Bibby, film-maker premiering excerpts from his documentary Liquid Truth
Jack Woodward, pre-eminent authority in Aboriginal law to talk about the
Beaver Lake Cree legal action and how it can stop the expansion of the tar sands.
Admission: $20 / $10 (students/seniors) Tickets on sale at the ArtSpring box office.
Reception to follow with a book signing by Mr. Hoggan. Stay for a chance to speak with presenters.
I think that bringing awareness is very important. Alan has been working on this important film for the past 2.5 years.
