Studio afternoon with Kobe students
Last week the studio was abuzz with music from Japan and Saori weaving. Four students from Kobe, Japan and another International Education student from Japan visited the studio for an afternoon.
The studio was set up and ready to go ….
Each of the students had a chance to weave on the Earth/Peace banner that will be going to Sendai Japan for ‘Saori Peace Weave 2008’ (pictures soon as it will be completed this week). And then they each wove a scarf for themselves to take with them.
And here are all the finished scarves ….
A great day! Thanks to the Salt Spring International Education program!
Happy Weaving

Aren’t they a delight? You can see the bubbling energy and fun overflowing!
what a wonderful afternoon for them.
You may well have planted a seed of weaving for them. I am sure that they will carry this afternoon with them for the rest of their lives.
Well done!

Thanks Noreen! It really was a delight for me too and I feel honoured to be asked to participate in their Salt Spring visit in this way!
Happy Weaving,
