Arbutus Scarf

For the opening of the show “Eye for Colour” (see previous post), I wove a scarf with arbutus colours. Here it is:

On an arbutus tree…

With the pumpkins…

And on me, beside the woven tree…

Arbutus show - tree and scarf

The scarf was made on the same warp as my “Shades of Arbutus” weaving. They look totally different – that’s one thing (of the many things) I love about weaving.

My shades of arbutus had over 30 different yarns in it – the scarf is woven with one gradually changing yarn – Noro Kureyon (from Japan).

Happy Weaving,

Terri

Thanks Ellen. The Noro yarn really is a gorgeous yarn with subtle colour changes….it was fun to just do up a quick scarf after all of the mixing of threads for the ‘Shades of Arbutus’ piece.

    Happy Weaving,
    Terri
