Oh, lovely! That tree does leap into one’s eyes and heart, doesn’t it. You’ve captured the unexpected crimson aspect.
“Clasped weft” intrigues me – will find out what it means on Saturday.

    Thanks Karen,

Yes, I love the arbutus and watching it’s changing colours and marvelous shapes.

Yes, on Saturday at the workshop you will find out all about clasped weft aka “icicles” – though I’m not sure if people are going to like that name at the moment with all the snow and ice we’ve had this winter!!

    Happy Weaving,
    Terri

Thanks Ellen! The woodgrain and the light on the table makes for nice photos…the beeswax candle and the orchids I thought picked up on some of the colours in the runner.

    Happy Weaving,
    Terri

Oh that is gorgeous! And the orchid is breathtaking- it struck me that the table, and the orchid and the candle all were so harmonious with the arbutus inspired weaving. AH, arbutus….. such a magical tree…..

    Hello Terri

I enjoyed myself so much at the workshop on Saturday – thank you! It was far more than weaving. A wonderful epiphany. Now to see where it unfolds…… I expect I will be in touch.

    Cheerfully
    Karen
