Saori weaving in New Zealand

I had my first SAORI interview recently and it is now posted on Crafternoon Tea with GrannyG – here is the link to the podcast episode. GrannyG talks about Christmas, New Year’s, her craft projects including a knitalong that is just starting, baking cinnamon buns and then the Saori interview!

I was initially nervous about the interview, but GrannyG was so easy to talk to – it really was like sitting down to tea with her. I’m looking forward to meeting her in person!

I am going to be giving a Saori workshop in New Zealand on February 12 & 13 in conjunction with Majacraft. Glynis from Majacraft has the details of location and times and is taking registrations. You can contact her by email here.

I’m very excited to be able to do this workshop. A Saori loom, some books, etc. have been shipped to New Zealand in preparation!

In other news, as I mentioned in my last post, I have discovered BeSweet yarns. They have posted a blog entry about me (thank you!) and also about Saori weaving. Here is the post called “Weave another little piece of my heart”.

Thanks everyone – I’m always happy to let more people know about Saori weaving.

Happy Weaving,

    Hello Terri
I listened to the podcast interview by Granny G and thought it was wonderful. I found your description and expression of saori, both the weaving and the concept, increased my knowledge of it. I do like how it introduces the ‘new’ and also reminds us of the saori inherent in all of us and invites expansion of this. I am sure you are looking forward to an early summer in New Zealand.
